Salon du Chocolat in Cologne:
a successful German premiere
With 10,000 visitors, the German premiere of the world's largest chocolate show was a great success.
During three days, Koelnmesse was the hotspot for all chocolate lovers - the central meeting point for regional, national and international top players in the chocolate industry.
At the first Salon du Chocolat in Cologne, 50 exhibitors displayed their talent and creations, including a man-sized reproduction of the Cologne Cathedral entirely made out of chocolate.
Among the highlights of the Salon du Chocolat was the daily Chocolate Fashion Show. These spectacular shows with dresses out of chocolate featured models wearing exquisite chocolate creations, which were created by renowned chocolatiers and designers from Germany, France and Belgium with great attention to detail and exquisite craftsmanship.
In addition, exciting workshops and talks, live cooking demonstrations, delicious tasting and the latest trends and innovations in the cocoa bean were on the program.
The Salon du Chocolat is the world's largest event dedicated to chocolate. It takes place in many international cities including - Paris for 20 years, Tokyo, Moscow, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Zurich, London, Brussels, ... - and now Cologne!
